My favorite face moisturizers: Cetaphil Daily Moisturizer, Yes To Grapefruits Even Tone Moisturizer & Aveeno Positively Radiant.

Moisturizing your face is like wearing underwear, you’ve just gotta do it, it’s not right if you don’t. Someeeethings gotta protect your skin from the mean harsh world we live in! With that being said, I don’t really understand the hype about fancy shmancy face moisturizers. No, I don’t give a shit if there’s unicorn jizz in my face cream, or if it’s going to anti-age me. – if you’re under the age of 40 and you use anti-aging stuff, please proceed to throw yourself into a wall. Someone needs to shake your brain back into place. I just want my face to feel soft, and my skin to glow a little bit!

A good moisturizer should be made:

-for faces ; none of that foot cream on your cheeks. You’ll end up greasy and disgusting. What is this, Mean Girls?

-with SPF; nothing about skin cancer is a good look.

-for your skin type; if you have oily skin don’t go around using shizz for dry skin.

Besides that, it’s pretty much up to you. Cetaphil is my old faithful. It’s a brand I trust with a solid, no frills attitude that keeps me moist; nothing more, nothing less. Yes To Grapefruits is an “even toning” moisturizer, meaning the magical properties of the grapefruit gods in it are going to make the dark spot from that giant forehead pimple I had in January slooowly fade away. Wether or not that’s actually true, or if time is just fading my dark-ish spot, I don’t know, but I like the idea of it. Not to mention, Yes to grapefruits smells pretty good, and feels a bit lighter-weight than Cetaphil. Aveeno’s Positively Radiant moisturizer is one that I love because it really does make me feel radiant. Every time I use this fairly lightweight moisturizer I’ve always felt a little bit like Beyonce….and who doesn’t want to feel like Beyonce?

Do you use fancy shmancy moisturizer? Is it really any better than these guys?
